1. In What Ways Does Your Media Product Use, Develop Or Challenge Forms And Conventions Of Real Media Products?

Our media product conforms to the idea of a physiological thriller because the man that Charlotte sees in the woods is a figure of her imagination, throughout the film she beings to become more and more lost in her mind and in him. This eventually makes her lose her mind and the only person who is there for her is her best friend.

The idea that the product doesn't come under the thriller genre in its self but within sub-genres such as physiological, mystery and even fantasy. The story line is a strong factor of what makes the thriller a thriller, including the characters development but also the effects and sounds tat have been added to give and extra dramatic effect on the way people view the product.

The costumes that we give the characters show their personalities however some might say that they not suggest danger and uncertainty, this gives the viewers a slight twist on what they believe they are going to see and experience. The edited effects which we put on out production shows how much danger the character can be in, emphasise the terror that the figure gives off and shows the way that Charlotte get stuck in a trance when taking in the environment around her and getting her mind set on only one thing.

I think our research helped us to gather different ideas which challenge the stereotype for example two girls choosing to talk the walk through the woods is bound to end is some heroic male saving the day. However, in this case they save them selves.
